Referendum Committee Kick-Off Meeting Held March 26
Parents, teachers, community members, and staff filled the cafeteria at the Eden Center on March 26, as the Kick-Off Meeting for the Referendum Committee began its work to make the Operating Referendum on May 27 a success for the District and its students.
Kirk Enrichment Students Collect 300 Pairs of "Jeans for Teens"
Kirk Middle School enrichment students collected more than 300 pairs of jeans for a community service project that provides jeans for homeless teens.
Brennen's "Viking Mobile Market" at CHS Results in Donation to AI DuPont Hospital
Brennen students at the Christiana High School Site have channeled the success of their "Viking Mobile Market" to charitable foundations. Most recently, their proceeds went towards purchasing toys and games for AI DuPont/Nemours Children's Hospital's Child Life Department.
Marshall Students Raise over $2,000 to Help Fight Leukemia and Lymphoma
"Pasta for Pennies" is a successful project undertaken by Marshall Elementary School each year to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year the school's totals exceeded $2,000!
Shue-Medill Middle School Junior Honor Society Collects More than 100 Coats for Daycare Center

Students in Shue-Medill Middle School's National Junior Honor Society helped young students at St. Michael's Day Nursery in Wilmington by holding a successful coat drive.
Christina School District "Rocks Its Socks" in Support of Those with Down Syndrome
Students and staff in the Christina School District showed their support for individuals with Down Syndrome by wearing mismatched socks on World Down Syndrome Day, March 20. The "Rock Your Socks" event has become a popular way to promote awareness and celebrate people with Down Syndrome.

March 20 is World Down Syndrome Day, and second grade students at Marshall Elementary School supported people with Down Syndrome by wearing mismatched socks on "Rock Your Socks" Day.
